What can’t be made better with bacon? The answer is nothing. Anything can be made better with bacon. I’ve been making these green beans for over 25 years. I made it up one night. I remember loving my grandmother’s, but never asked her for the recipe and didn’t pay attention when she was making them. But, I’m southern, I should be able to figure something out, right? So, I chopped some onion and had a bag of bacon bits and that night took a special turn. The outcome, delicious!! You don’t have to be southern to make these. But, if you do, you will taste a little of why our food is so good! Comfort on your plate…there isn’t anything else to say.
